President’s Letter from Michelle Torbert

Hello Florida Families,

We are headed back to the Ranch!!! We have decided to once again have our Spring Conference at Westgate River Ranch the weekend of March 19-21, 2010. I received a call from Westgate and they advised me that making our reservations and the number of rooms they now have available will make our planning much easier than in the past. Everyone loves going there too!

Casting-for-a-Cause is being held March 4—7, 2010.  Do not forget Prader-Willi Movie night, on March 5, 2010 at Schnebly Winery in Homestead. It is going to be a fun evening and a great fundraiser for our chapter. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance because no tickets will be sold at the door that evening. Also this same weekend is the “Casting for a Cause” fishing tournament. We need sponsors, donations and your attendance.  If you know of anyone who would like to be a sponsor or make a donation, please forward the information to me. Hope to see all of you there.

Make sure you make your reservations for Westgate River Ranch and mail in your registration forms by the deadline dates so you are not disappointed or miss out on this special conference. We are having some great speakers so I hope all of you make plans to attend.  Hope to see you all in March!

PW Florida GRANTS for Meetings

PWFA  offers grants to families who want to attend
the conference but cannot afford the expense.
Applications should be made by letter, email,  or phone to the
President of PWFA -  Michelle Torbert - 305-245-6484—PWFA2007@aol.com

Application letters must include:

1.       The size of your family and age(s) of your child(ren)
2.  A brief summary of difficulties your family is experiencing in dealing with PWS.
3.  Whether your family would need all conference expenses paid or only some expenses (e.g. just transportation or lodging)
4.  Whether anyone in your family has attended a previous PWFA conference

All Members are invited to make a donation toward the Grant Fund
